Snowy morning canyon (before we start up!).
More morning snow and clouds.
A side canyon ‘window,’ looking back down on the way up.
Stunning views on our West Rim ski trip.
Snowy Juniper (thanks, Lacey).
Another cool tree . . .
. . . with a view.
A West Rim panorama.
Another West Rim panorama.
Skiing Zion Canyon’s West Rim – hooray for the self-timer!
Lacey on the cliff-hugging trail.
Ice on the way down!
Interesting formation, with icicles.
Hey Eth,
How cool is that?! What a stunning trip. Deep powder, deep Spirit, wonderful account. Hey, your first fight, eh? Nicely handled.
I love the first photo in your “more photos” section, the trail at the start, with the stream winding up and to the left. Really fine. And the pictures of you and Lacey are great. Love your beard.
I look forward to more (postings, that is, not beards).
Much love,
Bruce
If only it was the first ‘disagreement!’ We’d a little practice already, but never in conditions like those.
The beard is now RIP, but I liked it better than I thought I would, so maybe you’ll see it again…
the snowy tree is juniper. the bark makes great tp. just try it.
Hey Ethan – I’ve been reading up on your recent domestic adventures, and look forward to following you vicariously as you guys wander about the world. Does the Natural History Museum ID have to be a guess? I was just there today and made a point of keeping an eye out for it. Will you be sending your readers on other scavenger hunts? I’m game.
Fletch, you have now been shouted out in my latest post, but I’m still waiting to hear your definitive answer . . . comment there to receive public accolades as promised!
